Backstory

Gillian Thomas is a poet and writer originally from the Washington, DC area. A graduate of New York City's Hunter College CUNY, she received her bachelor's degree in English and Theater and began her journey as a poet and writer while living in NYC. Now based in the DC suburbs, she writes from home, contributing to literary journals and magazines whenever possible. Frequently disabled by chronic illness, Thomas tries to bring awareness to such diseases as Dysautonomia, Celiac Disease and more. She lives with her husband their young son, and is currently at work on her first full-length collection of poetry.
